THE BLACK SWAN INN lies in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, right in the heart of the Purbeck in Dorset. Surrounded by rolling chalk downs, verdant woodland, softly shaded valleys, wild heath and even ancient castles, and all the while just a few miles from the sea, the Purbeck is a very special place.
Swanage itself is the gateway to the world famous Jurassic Coast, and the scenery couldn't be more varied: sandy beaches, yacht-strewn bays, fishing harbours, towering clifftops, secret coves, wave-formed arches and stacks, mazy caves, fossil-rich escarpments and pebbled peninsulas. |
